Job Description and Requirements

The Westerville Public Library is accepting resumés for the position of Manager of Support Services. Successful candidates are preferred to have a Masters in Library and Information Science and at least 3 years management experience. Primary responsibilities will include supervising the Computer Services and Technical Services Departments. The Computer Services Department is comprised of one full-time Webmaster, one full-time Web Content Librarian and one full-time IT Specialist.

In addition to maintaining the daily operation of all Library PC’s and networks, the Computer Services Department serves as a development partner with Innovative Interfaces, Inc. This requires a general philosophy of forward thinking and a willingness to accept and initiate change on a regular basis. Secondary responsibilities will include supervision of Collection Development.

Salary and Benefits

The beginning salary range for the position has been set by the Board of Trustees at $50,000 to $55,000. The Westerville Public Library offers an outstanding benefits package of: 100% OPERS pick-up, 4 weeks paid vacation, paid sick and personal time, 100% paid premiums for single coverage medical, dental, vision and life insurance, (90% paid premium for upgraded medical insurance.)
