What do I need to use a computer at the library?
While many computers at the library do not require you to have library
card to use them, some do. Computers with printers, also equipped
with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, and Excel), require
a Westerville Public Library card number to login.
Where are the Accelerated Reader (AR) books at the library?
Whether
you’re in the fiction, non-fiction, or picture book
section, you’re sure to find Accelerated Reader titles all over
the Youth Services department! Because every school chooses different
AR titles, we don’t shelve them together. However, we do keep
each school’s AR list on hand at the library for you to use as
a reference. Also, many schools post their AR lists on the web. You
can find them by going to the school’s website or by clicking
on the Homework Help section
of westervillekids.org.
What in the world is Library Link?
Library Link is a service that will send Westerville Library materials
- like books, CDs, DVDs, and more - to YOUR SCHOOL! When you’ve finished with
your materials, you can return them to the same place you checked them out – and
we’ll pick them up and take them back to the library! No kidding!

How do I get a library card?
You can get a library card one of two ways. You can request one on our online
form - http://catalog.westervillelibrary.org/selfreg -
or you can come to the library and fill out an application. In both cases,
a parent or guardian MUST be present with you at the library to get your
card. Your parent/guardian will need a photo ID (like a driver’s license)
and proof of current address (like a piece of mail) for you to get your card.
